Upcoming Opportunities
Cashiers Community Holy Week Services
Worship with our Cashiers Community residents and visitors during Holy Week
Each day the service will be at a different church - everyone is welcome.  It will be a brief service followed by a free light lunch.  The service begins at 12:00 noon and the lunch typically at 12:30 p.m.  These services are designed to accommodate working people.
  • Monday, March 26 - Church of the Good Shepherd
  • Tuesday, March 27 - Grace Community Church
  • Wednesday, March 28 - Christ Church of the Valley
  • Thursday, March 29 - Cashiers Church of God
  • Friday, March 30 - Cashiers United Methodist Church
Stations of the Cross on Good Friday, March 30 at 4:00 p.m. at the Village Green  
The area churches are hosting Stations of the Cross, which is a series of 14 images representing successive incidents during Jesus' progress from his condemnation by Pilate to his crucifixion and burial.  Each station is sponsored by a different church who will interpret their reading in a unique way.  Each station is followed by a prayer and a walk to the next station.  
Sunrise Easter Service, Sunday, April 1 at 7:00 a.m. (inclement weather back up is at Cashiers UMC).  Please bring a chair.  Special music will be provided by The Lost Chords.
Kreative Kidz Zone (KKZ) 
  • KKZ is for children kindergarten - 5th grade
  • They meet on Wednesdays from 3:30 - 5:20 p.m. 
  • Bus/van pick-up from both schools; homeschoolers can be dropped off at 3:20 p.m.  
  • All children experience a full palette of creative activities with the arts and God

ELL (English Language Learners) classes 
  • This outreach program is going well providing English classes for the adults and activities for the children
  • We partner with Church of the Good Shepherd, who is the host church for these classes
  • Classes are on Mondays during the school year at 6:00 p.m. (through April)

Wednesdays Evenings
  • Fellowship Meal from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.  Reservations can be made by calling the church office at 743-5298 or emailing at
  • Lenten Study, "Seven Words to the Cross" by J. Ellsworth Kalas. The Gospels record what are known as "the seven last words" of Jesus - the last phrases spoken from the cross by Christ in the final hours of his earthly life. 
  • February 14 - Ash Wednesday Service with imposition of ashes and Holy Communion @ 5:30
  • February 21 - The Word of Scorn 
  • February 28 - The Late Word 
  • March 7 - The Word of Indifference 
  • March 14 - The Word of Faith & The Word of Testimony
  • March 21 - The Courageous Word
  • March 28 - The Futile Word
Mother's Morning Out

Youth Group
  • Our youth group is for young people in 4th - 8th grades.  
  • Join us at the church on Sundays  from 5 - 7 p.m. for a time of good food, great fun, praise music, service projects, and faith development.

Post-secondary Scholarships 
  • Cashiers United Methodist Church makes limited scholarship grants each year to area graduating high school seniors. 
  • The Scholarship Committee determines the number of scholarships to be awarded, conducts interviews of selected applicants, and awards the scholarships.
  • A fully completed scholarship application form and supporting documents must be received by the church administrator by April 6, 2018.  Click here for application and here for instruction and facts.
