United Methodist Men's meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m., for a time of good food (prepared by our own Chef David), fellowship, discipleship, and service.  Please contact Tom Adams at 828-200-6098 or 743-5119 with questions.
The Stephen Ministry program at CUMC is ready to help those in need.  Contact Betty Morris at or 743-5298 with questions or discuss your or someone else's desire to have a Stephen Minister.
Make Sunday mornings a part of your weekly routine.  Whether it is fellowship at Coffee in the Commons beginning at 9:30, or attending Sunday School, there is something for everyone.
Adult Sunday School Class - join us as we study the final chapters of the gospels which record the Good News that the way of salvation is open to all people through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  Our purpose is to read the end of each gospel from Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem to John's remarkable last verse, "Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.  This adult class is for singles and couples and meets in the Yellow Room of the Education Wing at 9:30.
The Cashiers Community Chorus meets seasonally to prepare for various performances - Lenten Cantata, summer patriotic concert, and a Christmas cantata.  This group meets on Thursdays at 5:30 starting about six weeks prior to the performance.  There are no auditions - a joy in singing is the only requirement.  Betty Morris, Director of Music at CUMC directs the chorus and Bryan Heller, pianist for CUMC, accompanies.  Contact Betty Morris at or 743-5298 for more information.  Currently we are rehearsing for the Patriotic Concert which will be performed around the 4th of July.  Date and time TBA.
Walk to Emmaus is a weekend of spiritual growth and renewal.  Many members of this congregation have participated and their lives have been enriched and strengthened because of this weekend.  For more information, contact David Dunaway at 828-508-2119, or Sue Jones at 743-0986, or click here about the local Emmaus, or click here for a brief video about Emmaus in general.
