What a wonderful opportunity to have had John Bryant, our Duke University student, with us this summer!
We celebrated the time he spent with us on Sunday, August 2 with a reception following the 11:00 service.
John is a first year Masters of Divinty student at Duke University. He graduated from Davidson College last May, and is originally from Huntsville, Alabana. He is a certified candidate to be an elder in the North Alabama Conference but is in the process of trying to transfer his candidacy to the Western North Carolina Conference. He has never been in a rural church setting before and is looking foward to this experience.
Although John has gone back to Duke, he will always remain a part of our family here at Cashiers UMC. May God abundantly bless John as he prepares for his future in christian servanthood.
