+ Christ has no hands but yours +

At Cashiers United Methodist Church
we share the love of Christ in tangible ways every day.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

  Impact Community Day is always a huge success. In past years, we've handed out over 120 baskets filled with baked goodies and fruit to local businesses.  These random acts of kindness showed God's love in action.  All those who worked on prep day and helped deliver will tell you that we had a great day IMPACTING THE COMMUNITY!   This is a special day of showing God's love to our community.

Here are some pictures from a prep day and Impact Community Day.

Meeting the needs of children

CUMC's Congregations 4 Children team is partnering with Blue Ridge School to help earn school equipment including computers, sports equipment, science equipment, etc. just for shopping at Ingles. You can log onto www.ingles-markets.com and complete the form there.  All you need is your Ingles Advantage Card number and you will be helping BRS. We are also collecting Box Tops for Education in addition to Labels for Education by just clipping the approved Box Tops and Labels and dropping them off at the church.  There is a great display in the Commons on how you can help support one of our local schools.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cashiers is looking for mentors to children, children who very much need a caring adult to be their friend.  The hour each week you spend with the child/youth will focus on his/her interests.  The benefits to the child are improved self-confidence, relationship skills, school performance, and more.  For more information or to volunteer, contact Elizabeth Spaulding at cashiers@bbbswnc.org.

 Reaching our neighbors from around the world
 The International Students is a ministry we have been involved in for the past five years partnering with a few of the local resort clubs where the students work during the summer.  This has been a favorite activity for many CUMC members and certainly a way to show the love of Christ throughout the world by reaching out to these students.

UMCOR (the United Methodist Committee on Relief) update:
