Bryan Heller

Bryan Heller

Worship Director

Bryan joined CUMC as church pianist in 2006.  He is a graduate from Western Carolina University, earning a B.M. in Commercial & Electronic Music, as well as an emphasis in piano accompaniment and performance.  Bryan owes a lot of his musical education to Alexander W. Dreyfoos Jr. School of the Arts, located in West Palm Beach Florida, where he grew up and attended high school.  One of his biggest (and scariest) accomplishments is performing in Carnegie Hall as an accompanist for the Smoky Mountain High School Concert Choir.  In addition to church pianist, Bryan is the owner of his own company “PianoMountain”, which includes piano instruction, accompanying, performance and nature photography and videography of Western North Carolina.  In addition to music, Bryan’s hobbies include hiking, kayaking, exercising, architecture, eating sushi and anything related to science fiction

Susan has been with our Mother’s Morning Out program for over 12 years and brings with her a vast amount of education, knowledge and experience in early childhood education. She and her husband, Frank, have two grown children and one granddaughter, Samantha.

Yvonne Ferrin has four children who were raised in Cashiers. And, she has two grandchildren. She has lived in Cashiers for thirty years and worked with children for thirty years. She worked with our Mother’s Morning Out program for many years and is now caring for children in our nursery on Sunday mornings. She also still works with our Mother’s Morning Out program when needed.

Jazi Ferrin was raised in the Cashiers area. She is a student at Western Carolina University majoring in Birth-Kindergarten studies. She has been actively involved with our Mother’s Morning Out program and Sunday Morning nursery helping her mom but is proving to be a valuable asset in her own right.  We are blessed with her talent!

 David Hunter

David is a jack of all trades and has worked in construction and landscaping for years.  He was employed by Tom Chambers Builders of Highlands, NC before joining CUMC in February 2020.  He is a wonderful asset to our church and makes sure everything runs smoothly.
