Bryan Heller joined CUMC as church pianist in 2006. He is a graduate from Western Carolina University, earning a B.M. in Commercial & Electronic Music, as well as an emphasis in piano accompaniment and performance. Bryan owes a lot of his musical education to Alexander W. Dreyfoos Jr. School of the Arts, located in West Palm Beach Florida, where he grew up and attended high school. One of his biggest (and scariest) accomplishments is performing in Carnegie Hall as an accompanist for the Smoky Mountain High School Concert Choir. In addition to church pianist, Bryan is the owner of his own company “PianoMountain”, which includes piano instruction, accompanying, performance and nature photography and videography of Western North Carolina. In addition to music, Bryan’s hobbies include hiking, kayaking, exercising, architecture, eating sushi and anything related to science fiction.
A native of New Jersey, Meg was Confirmed in the Episcopal church, and enjoyed several delightful years of Canterbury Club sponsored by the local parish while attending Ohio Wesleyan University. She spent thirty-two inspiring years in church choir with many friends and amazing musicians. Meg appreciated volunteering as a member of Friends of Music at St. Paul’s, as well as serving on the vestry, as warden and as owner’s representative for a major interior renovation of the sanctuary and installation of a new pipe organ. Her business career includes administration, contract management, marketing, and technology related positions in several industries. She cherished her two years as an expat in Finland as a part of a global software team in the maritime construction industry. Meg delights in continuing to research both family history and her family’s collections and is enjoying her new home and community in Western North Carolina. .
